Due to the many different and complex materials and precise angle requirements of our customers we only take orders for new knives by phone. This allows us to make sure that your order will be correct.

Shipping Microtomes

  1. Secure the microtome in its case making sure it doesn't freely move between the guides. If it does move, place a small piece of packing foam or bubble warp on the top of the knife before closing the lid.
  2. Place one or two rubber bands around the knife case to prevent it from accidentally opening during shipping.
  3. Select a cardboard box that allows enough space to suspend the microtome within it's case in bubble wrap, packing foam or packing peanuts.
  4. After securely taping the box you should not feel any movement while gently shaking it. This will prevent the microtome from being damaged during shipping.
